TEST TIME

So many people today believe that they are heavenward bound, but are they really? I have designed the following test based off the word of God for you to determine if you are heavenward bound.

Do you believe:

  1. that God loves you? Jn. 3:16, Rom. 5:8
  2. that you must hear the word of God? Rom. 10:14-17, Jam. 1:21-25, 1Cor 15:1-2
  3. that you must obey the word of God? 1Jn. 5:3, Heb. 5:9, Mat. 7:21, 2Th. 1:7-9
  4. that Jesus is the son of God? Jn. 8:24, Mk. 16:16, Heb. 11:6
  5. that you must repent and turn away from your old lifestyle? Lk. 13:3, Acts 17:30
  6. that you must confess Jesus as your lord? Rom.10:9-10, Mat. 10:32-33
  7. that you must be baptized? Acts 2:38, Mk. 16:16, 1Pet. 3:21, Acts 22:16
  8. that you must live a faithful life until death? Rev. 2:10, Heb. 3:12,ff, 2Tim. 2:12

This is a very simple test and if you answered no to any of the questions above then the bible would say that you are not heavenward bound. Question 7 would be the one that most people would answer no to because it is widely taught in the denominations that it simply is not necessary to be baptized in order to be saved. The bible warned us that man would not hold to sound doctrine (2Tim. 4:3-4, Col. 2:8) and this is why there are so many divisions in the body of Christ. Paul condemned division in the body (1Cor. 1:10-13), yet many today say its ok to have denominations.  The bible makes it clear that there is only 1 body (Eph. 4:4) and the body is the church that Christ is the head of (Eph. 1:22-23, Col. 1:18). Only those that are in that one body will be saved (Eph. 5:23). But, how does one get into this one body? 1 Cor.12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body. So you see, its at the point of baptism that one enters into the one body. Whenever we enter into this one body, its also means that we have entered into Christ. Please note the following things that are found in Christ. Grace (2Tim. 2:1), every spiritual blessing (Eph 1:3), redemption and forgiveness of sin (Eph. 1:7), salvation (2Tim. 2:10), eternal life (1Jn. 5:11), and no condemnation (Rom. 8:1). Again, the bible makes it clear to us how to get into Christ where all these things are found. Gal 3:27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Rom. 6:3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? So the question becomes, have you been baptized into Christ and had your sins washed away (Acts 22:16), if not why not? Today is the day of salvation, so don’t put off obeying the gospel any longer and say yes to all the questions in the test and do them. Stop listening to what man says and take a look at what the word of God says. Satin would like nothing better than for you to think you are heavenward bound when you are not.
